In today’s episode of Tech News Tuesday, we’re wrapping up our four-part series on Creating a Clear Marketing Plan That Works. In this final episode, we’re going to talk about how to “Make It Happen” — specifically, how to batch, schedule, and reuse your content. If you’ve been following along, you know the importance of identifying what to say, where to say it, and when to say it. Now, let’s talk about how to put that strategy into action.
The secret to saving time is batching, scheduling, and reusing content
After creating your content plan and deciding where to post and how often, it’s time to actually get things done. The secret to saving time is batching, scheduling, and reusing content. You don’t have to create content all the time — get ahead by recording several videos in one go, or scheduling a month’s worth of emails or social media content in advance.
That’s a big one! You’re not just creating content for one time — you’re building a content library. Reuse and repurpose your best-performing content. The messaging that attracts your ideal client often doesn’t change that month year to year, so updating existing website articles, sending a previous message to new subscribers, or repeating key messages on social media throughout the year, creates brand awareness and saves you time.

Templates for social media and your email are also great. For example, if you have recurring features like a team spotlight, create a template and batch them all at once. That way, when it’s time to feature someone, it’s ready to go!
Don’t forget about seasonal content. Use a holiday calendar to plan out your content for the whole year. This will help you plan your hours, promotions, and holiday-related posts. Once you have a full set of templates for your recurring features and events, next year you’ll just need to review and update them!
The key takeaway here is that batching, scheduling and reusing content are game-changers for staying organized and consistent. It’s much easier to create multiple pieces of content at once, rather than trying to create everything at the last minute. Overall, it takes less time, and reduces stress!
Your Action Steps
- Block time once a month for planning content for the next month, and an additional time block for creating that content.
- Decide where you will store your images and messages so that you can find them and reuse them later where it is appropriate.
- What types of content can you use a template for? Featured product, team member, quote, testimonial for example.
- Schedule time to create the template a whole series of posts using the template at one time.
- For example: quote of the week — create 52 at once and you will have a year’s worth ready to go. Don’t have that many? Create one quarter’s worth and use the same content in a different order each quarter.
So, what’s the bottom line? Focus on your ideal client, start small, and remember that consistency is key. Small steps lead to big results. By planning your content in advance, you’re making sure you stay on track, stay relevant, and keep building your presence.
