If you’re using LinkedIn to promote your business, you’ll want to check out this new LinkedIn feature: sponsored articles. In this week’s Tech News Tuesday episode we’re looking at this new feature and what it means for you.
LinkedIn Sponsored Articles
Sponsored articles are like regular LinkedIn posts but with a boost. As a marketer of your business, you can now promote your articles directly on the platform, potentially increasing brand awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
LinkedIn users can see and read sponsored posts without leaving the platform.
LinkedIn users can see and then read these sponsored posts without leaving the platform. These ads perform better than those with external links, and this is another opportunity to repurpose content you already have while building authority. These articles will also appear in Google Search results so there is opportunity for even greater reach.
These articles even appear in Google Search!
When a company publishes an article on LinkedIn, admins now have the option to promote it. You can even add a call-to-action button, like “Unlock Article,” encouraging users to sign up and access the complete content. You’re not only providing valuable content to your audience but also driving leads directly on LinkedIn.
And here’s something interesting too, all the comments from logged-in members can be viewed directly on the article. That’s a better user experience for both you and your audience.
All the comments from logged-in members can be viewed directly on the article.
This sponsored feature is currently only available for articles authored by companies, not individual profiles but that may change. You can also @ mention individuals in your article and their profile will be hyperlinked.
The bottom line is this, if you are looking to build your authority with targeted B2B audiences, trying sponsored articles this year might be a good fit for your strategy.
