Bob: Hi, I’m Bob Clark.
Donna: And I’m Donna Botti. We’re with Delos Inc and we make the web work for you.
In today’s Tech News Tuesday episode we’re talking about a new feature on your Google Business Profile which lets you feature a product on your profile.
Bob: That’s right Donna. And in case you forgot, Google Business Profile is the new name for what used to be called, Google My Business.
Donna: Yes, it is your same listing with a new name. Now the ability to feature a product is only available on some profiles for now as it rolls out so you may or may not see this option.
Bob: The way to check is pretty simple. When you go to your Google Business Profile page and choose the option to add a product, you’ll see at the bottom after adding your item, a box you can check that says “products marked Special are shown at the top of the page.”
Donna: Google has not said a whole lot about this feature, but by marking something as a special, it will show at the top of your business profile page on Google Search and Google Maps. If you currently sell products online, remember that good descriptions and pictures always help in search, and this is just another way to promote core products in your online store.
Bob: That’s it for today’s episode. You can find a link to the article on this topic and a transcript of today’s podcast, at DelosInc.com/221. And don’t forget to subscribe, so you don’t miss out on our actionable digital marketing tips to grow your organization.
