In today’s Tech News Tuesday episode, we’re talking about a couple of new features for LinkedIn Business Page that will help you get more engagement.
Bob: That’s right Donna. And the first one is the ability to “boost” a well-performing organic post.
Donna: Yes, if you see that you’re getting great engagement from your followers on a post, LinkedIn lets you instantly turn that organic post into a paid ad, increasing the reach of your message to others outside your immediate network. Keep in mind that this is for LinkedIn Business Pages, not your personal LinkedIn account.
Bob: This is a good low-risk way to test the waters if you’ve not used LinkedIn advertising before. Test your organic posts to see what resonates, and then boost that to see what additional traction you can get.
Donna: The other new feature for Business Pages relates to events. Virtual events are here to stay, and LinkedIn has new registration forms to automatically register people, including pre-populated contact information for your events. This has been an issue in the past where people would say they want to attend an event, but they had to take a separate step to actually register.
For virtual events, you can now stream to LinkedIn from Zoom and other platforms so you can use the streaming platform that you are most comfortable with.
Along with these changes to events, event ads are also getting an update making them easier to create and also to retarget those who may have clicked on your event but did not register.
