Bob: Hi, I’m Bob Clark.
Donna: And I’m Donna Botti. We’re with Delos Inc and we make the web work for you. In today’s Tech News Tuesday episode, we’re letting you know about getting your videos found in search. We found a good blog from the Content Marketing Institute on this topic.
You’ve heard us say that YouTube is the number two overall search engine, right behind Google.
Bob: Yes Donna, the blog talks about 21 SEO tools to boost your video rankings. We won’t go over every one of them right here, so click the link in the show notes to get all of them. The most important takeaway here is that your videos can rank in search by considering SEO, just like you use SEO for your website.
Donna: That’s right, you need to make sure that you understand who your target audience is and specifically know the types of questions they are searching for.
You can use a tool like Google Trends to see how much interest your topic generates and to get your video content found, you’ll need to use the right keywords in your text-based content around the video, like the titles and descriptions for example.
Add tags to your videos that are relevant to your audience. Then, keep an eye on the analytics.
Cover these basics and get your videos ranking.
Bob: That’s it for today’s episode. You can find the link to the article and a transcript of today’s podcast at DelosInc.com/118.
