Let me tell you a quick story about my inbox. I get a lot of emails, including promotion emails for people and companies I follow. There is no possible way I could read them all. Is this you too?
But, there are some emails I consistently look for and open. They are short; I know when they are coming; and they provide actionable content or are just interesting and relatable. Story is what makes them interesting and relatable.
Telling a story makes the information more memorable. Our social interactions consist mainly of stories. Take the same approach with your online presence in order to build relationships with your potential customers. What do they need? What problem can you solve? Grow Your Reach on Instagram
Do you use Instagram personally? Do you scroll through your feed or just watch stories? Instagram has a full range of formats to choose from: Posts, Stories, Story Highlights, IGTV, Reels, Live, Topic Guides and Products. So, what format should you use for your business content?
It depends on who you are trying to reach, but remember the Instagram algorithm tends to favor newer features. If your audience is on Instagram and you want more organic reach, you should do some experimenting and see what is working for you. Here are some tips to get you started.
In social media, let’s not forget the 80/20 rule. 80% interesting, informative, useful, entertaining content and 20% promotion. Remember, it’s called “social” for a reason.
Do Siri and Alexa Know You?
I talk to Alexa every day and sometimes Google and Siri too. Usually it’s about the weather or my music or shipping notifications, but I also check hours and locations of nearby businesses. Did you know more than 50% of search is now done through voice? And like me, 72% of smart speaker users say they use them every day.
Ranking for voice search is similar to ranking for local web and maps searches in that you want to claim and fill out your NAP profiles on Google, Bing, Apple Maps, and other citation sources. NAP is your name, address and phone number references to your business in the citation sources. Fill out as much information as possible on your profiles and keep them updated.
