With the release of WordPress version 4.7, there are a few changes to the visual editor toolbar.
Some of the toolbar buttons have been rearranged to make them easier to access and to encourage proper use of the HTML elements they insert.
- The Headings drop down has been moved to the top row.
- The Strike-through and Horizontal rule button have been moved down to the bottom row.
- The Underline and Justify buttons have been removed. Use of these features is not a best practice. Underlining your text can confuse readers into thinking the text is a link. Justifying works unevenly across different browsers and mobile phones.
- Labels for keyboard shortcuts have been added to the tooltips for buttons and inside drop downs to make them easier to discover.
