When writing a post or page, you might want to draw attention to a particularly compelling or important point with your viewers. You may have seen this type of text treatment on a newspaper or magazine website when they want to highlight an appealing part of the story. Now you can do the same!
Creating a Pullquote
From your page or post editor, click the plus sign to access your menu of block options. Type in pullquote.
The block automatically defaults to a center alignment for your pullout quote, but you can change this to left alignment for better readability by using the text menu bar at the top of the page or post editor.
From here, type in the text you want to pull out and highlight from your body copy. If you’re using a quote, you can add the source on the citation line.
Generally the theme should style your quotes and give you options for them, so preview your changes to see how it looks on the page.
If necessary, you can make additional adjustments to the text size, background color, and font styling. You can also adjust the border of your block to include more or less background and modify the corners to be more rounded or sharp.
