KEEP IT SHORT AND SWEET
You may have heard a couple months ago that Google was showing longer snippets in search. Well, they changed their mind!
For example, using the Yoast SEO plugin in WordPress, lets you specify text that will generally appear in the search snippet. This text is called the meta description, and for a few months Google increased the size to about 280 characters. Now these are shorter again, but without a fixed length. The algorithm adjusts to lengths that are the most useful to the searcher at the time. If you increased description length, you don’t necessarily have to shorten them, but going forward you want to again use the 155 character length.
Google snippets can be an effective way to market to prospective customers directly in search. It’s time to take advantage!

SOCIAL CLIMATE
For years Facebook has dominated social media, but only about 51% of teens today say they use Facebook.
Facebook numbers have been on the decline recently, this is especially true among teenagers. Teens tend to spend more time on social media channels like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube. This is just a reminder that social media is an ever-changing climate and should be used as tools, not the center of your digital marketing strategy.
